From the driver who picks up the recycling to the teammate who prepares the bale to be sent off to be turned into a new product, our team of environmental stewards are always working for a sustainable tomorrow.

While waste reduction and recycling right are always vital, the months of October and November historically place a larger focus on sustainable initiatives across North America.

Let’s start with reduction.

The best way to avoid waste and associated environmental impacts is by generating less waste from the start. While waste reduction is a function of consumer and business behavior – largely out of WM’s control – we work with customers and communities to reduce waste at the source. One way is through education.

From October 19-25, Canada’s Waste Reduction Week highlighted best practices to reduce waste impact by centering each day around a theme, providing insights on how to work toward living a zero-waste lifestyle.

Several Ayurvedic medicines readily available are found to contain steroids and heavy metal, both harmful to the human body if taken in excess.Ayurvedic medicines given by the vaidyas – be it in the form of bhasma or churan-, which people swallow in with great faith, could contain steroid and toxic metals such as lead, mercury and arsenic.

In order to ensure quality control, quality assurance and safety for Ayurveda and Siddha drugs, the quality of herbal products need to be monitored with creation of awareness amongst all concerned.i.e,

  1. Physical Analysis
  2. Chemical analysis
  3. Microbial analysis

The quality of drugs is beyond the understanding of common man. It’s the responsibility of the Department to ensure the availability of quality drugs to the public and the market is free from counterfeit, spurious and substandard drugs and no drugs are sold at a price higher than the retail price marked on the container. Department of AYUSH , Ministry of Health and Family welfare Government of India isregulating  so many laws  related to the drugs and cosmetics whereby the safety of the consumer is protected .

Waste Water Management

Water treatment has become an area of worldwide concern as individuals, communities, industries, and nations strive for ways to keep this essential resource available and suitable for use. Hence, there is a need to learn waste water management. Wastewater management encompasses a broad range of efforts that promote effective and responsible water use, treatment, and disposal and encourage the protection and restoration of our nation’s watersheds. It also includes Waste-water Treatment Plant designing, erection, commissioning and annual maintenance,Sewage treatment, Industrial effluent treatments and it requires general awareness.
